Yirgacheffee Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union(YCFCU) is an organization primarily established by 13 primary cooperatives in 2002. Its operation area includes all the 6 districts in Gedeo Zone, Southern Ethiopia. Currently the number of primary cooperatives has raised to 28 and their respective member farmers are estimated about 38,000. The union produces both natural and washed specialty Arabica coffee and exports to different destinations of which more than 60% goes to USA.
