Oraund combines the meaning of the German word 'Ora,' meaning 'pray,' the conjunction 'und,' meaning 'and,' to encompass coffee, space, culture all in one. The story of 'Ora' begins with the legend of Kaldi. Kaldi, a goatherd, discovered the energizing effects of coffee when he noticed that his goats, after eating coffee berries, remained lively late into the night. Curious, he tried the berries himself felt his fatigue disappear, realizing the power of caffeine. Kaldi then gave the coffee berries to a monk, who found that they helped him stay awake during his night prayers scripture studies. Through monks, coffee spread worldwide.

Since 2006, we have nurtured about 100,000 tea trees and cultivated tea leaves directly at our own tea farm in Jeju’s mid-mountain region, where we produce, process, and distribute both matcha and loose-leaf teas.
