Since 2002, we have held an exclusive sales contract for combi ovens and convection ovens from Electrolux/Zanussi, a global leader in home appliances. We are an industry leader developing filter materials that are used in teabags used by consumers worldwide. We specialize and provide woven (also known as mesh)and non-woven filters for tea as well as coffee to the leading suppliers of the current industry. Our head office is based in Osaka, Japan and have 10 factories at the moment and our factories are ISO9001, ISO14001 and FSSC22000 certified. The annual sales of the last year is almost 80 million USD. We produce both PLA based biodegradable as well as traditional PET based non-woven and woven filters. Most importantly regarding our products, we have 3 main brands: OKILON, sustico and MELPET/Pachit. OKILON is our brand name for our PET based filters. Sustico are the name given for our biodegradable filters (the naming comes from sustainably ecologicalz). MELPET is the name given for the filter used for coffee drip bags and Pachit is the combination of this MELPET and the clip vital for the dripping purpose.

The story of 'Ora' begins with the legend of Kaldi. Kaldi, a goatherd, discovered the energizing effects of coffee when he noticed that his goats, after eating coffee berries, remained lively late into the night. Curious, he tried the berries himself felt his fatigue disappear, realizing the power of caffeine. Kaldi then gave the coffee berries to a monk, who found that they helped him stay awake during his night prayers scripture studies. Through monks, coffee spread worldwide.
