Papua New Guinea as a producing origin is represented by 5 coffee companies. The companies represented at this show are Lassmalo Coffee, Kosem, Roots No1, Goilala Mountain coffee and Coffee Industry Corporation.
The country’s participation in Seoul Cafe Show 2024 is made possible through the collaboration between the Embassy of Papua New Guinea in Seoul and the Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC). The CIC is a statutory regulatory agency in PNG responsible for coffee research, coffee extension, licensing and marketing.
Papua New Guinea is located in the Pacific region. There are four regions in PNG highlands, Momase, Islands and Southern. The country is regarded as the last frontier boasting untouched virgin forests, and certainly a paradise of biodiversity and challenging terrains.
These lush environments are where the majority of our coffees are grown mostly in the highlands region. Where smallholder farmers account for more than 85% of the country's production.
