ORAUND ROASTERY CAFE
Oraund combines the meaning of the German word 'Ora,' meaning 'pray,' the conjunction 'und,' meaning 'and,' to encompass coffee, space, culture all in one. The story of 'Ora' begins with the legend of Kaldi. Kaldi, a goatherd, discovered the energizing effects of coffee when he noticed that his goats, after eating coffee berries, remained lively late into the night. Curious, he tried the berries himself felt his fatigue disappear, realizing the power of caffeine. Kaldi then gave the coffee berries to a monk, who found that they helped him stay awake during his night prayers scripture studies. Through monks, coffee spread worldwide.

It is founded in 2010 by Mr. Abreham Mengiste Mrs. Meseret Workneh (certified “Q” grader SCA trainer) who have excellent experience in the coffee business since 2004. Our company mainly focuses on exporting specialty premium quality Ethiopian coffee to the world. We establish our own washing stations in Guji and Yirgacheffe area. We also operate our own coffee cleaning plant located in Addis Ababa. We export commercial, premium, specialty coffee to different countries across the world including Asia, Europe, North America Canada. We were exporting fully traceable specialty coffee as well as commercial green coffee beans since 2010. The volume of export is growing since then.
