While the origins of coffee are debated between Yemen and Ethiopia, the Arabs played a crucial role in its development. They were the first to roast and boil coffee, creating the beverage enjoyed globally today. In the 13th century, coffee became a popular drink in the Arab and Muslim worlds, appreciated for its stimulating effects. Coffeehouses, known as ‘Qahwa’ or ‘MaQha,’ emerged as social spaces for relaxation and conversation. These places also became centers for exchanging knowledge and wisdom, a tradition that continues today. The Q Lab honors this legacy by offering some of the world’s finest coffees, emphasizing the rich history and complexity of this beloved drink.

Have in your mind also that 2008 World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship was won by our Owner and the 2017 + 2018 Runner-up title on same World championship by our company as well. We are really proud that we are the 2018 and 2019 Barista Champion of Greece, and on our first ever appearance in World Barista Championship (2018) we managed to win the 4th place in Amsterdam and then on our second appearance next year (2019) we won the 2nd place in W.B.C. Boston which is the best ranking of Greece in this championship. So, here you are: This Underdog team of young-beautiful and talented Specialty coffee dogs, really knows how to battle!

THE BARN BERLIN Roastery based in Berlin. We operate offline stores in Berlin, Dubai, Spain, and Korea, and supply coffee beans to more than 80 countries around the world. We present coffee beans by roasting only single origins with an SCA score of 86 or higher. Pursuing sustainability and respecting the principle of traceability in the coffee industry, we introduce consumers to where coffee comes from. We put the stories of various farms in a cup of coffee.
